How long are BTC’s programs?
Boardman Training Center offers four short-term, career-focused healthcare training programs: medical assisting, medical billing and coding, phlebotomy, and EKG, which are designed to be completed in 12 weeks or less. Each of our programs prepares students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to start their careers sooner. The accelerated format is ideal for individuals wanting a career change, to gain new skills, or to enter the healthcare industry without the time or cost investment of a traditional 4-year college degree.
How much is tuition?
Tuition costs can vary depending on the program chosen, so it is best to contact our admissions team for the most accurate and current information. BTC’s programs are priced to reflect their short duration.
Where are classes and labs located?
All classes and labs take place at the convenient location of Boardman Training Center’s campus in Boardman, Ohio. Students engage in traditional lecture-based courses to understand the core concepts and foundational knowledge of their chosen program, while also gaining practical experience through hands-on training in lab sessions. Classes and labs are designed to prepare our students to sit for their National Healthcareer Association certification* exams.
Is Boardman Training Center accredited?
Boardman Training Center is registered with, and its programs are authorized by, the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges, Registration #1555B.
What is the structure of BTC’s classes?
Although none of Boardman Training Center’s programs take place online, day and evening classes are offered. This provides the flexibility necessary to fit anyone’s busy schedule, making it easier to balance continuing your education with your personal and professional responsibilities.
Do I need any prerequisites before enrolling?
No prerequisites are required before enrolling.
Will I be able to ask questions?
Students are encouraged to ask questions! BTC’s education model was designed around smaller class sizes to make it easier to get the one-on-one attention from instructors that you need. Everyone at BTC is dedicated to our students’ success. We work with you to better understand your situation and help you through any personal issues that may arise.
How can I pay for my education?
Although we do not accept federal financial aid, we offer internal financing options. The Boardman Training Center Director’s office works closely with students to create a flexible payment plan, making the tuition cost as manageable as possible.
Does Boardman Training Center help with job placement?
BTC offers career services, including resume writing help, mock interviews, and job application support. Additionally, it sends student resumes to local employers when opportunities arise. Students also receive a list of employers currently hiring in their field.
